So I was walking into the kitchen to do dishes and I was broad sided by gravity. The next thing I know is that I’m on the ground and the fingernail on my left pinky finger was inside-out. I turned it back the right way and noticed my finger was not looking right and hurt like the dickens.
Having been struggling with anxiety all day, it is now augmented by the pain of my finger. Aside from doing my relaxation and breathing I am now being very sarcastic and joking with my daughter-in-law.
People asked me what I was doing when it happened and I would tell them that I was going to do the dishes. My daughter-in-law looks at me and says, “If you didn’t want to do them you could have just asked.”
I must agree with her, it would have been much easier, less painful and a lot less expensive. Though, if you are going to do something, you should always do it right. I think I did good job at hurting my finger. What do you think?
The good news is I don’t have to do dishes for a while. The bad news is that the pain adding to my anxiety making it difficult for me.
